Covering Bakewell, Bradwell, Chatsworth, Curbar, Hathersage, Tideswell and Explorers at Curbar, supported by a Duke Of Edinburgh Active Support Unit who undertake training and Bronze through Gold events.
Peak District Scouts has a great facility for overnight stays at our building at Curbar (Dukes Drive, Curbar, S32 3YF just under trees alongside the river) with off road parking (and plenty of roadside parking), extensive grass area (two levels) for camping, with fire circle, smaller fire pit and BBQ. The site is fully fenced, includes kitchen with two electric cookers, fridge and freezer, electric hot water burco (2), main hall, Shower room/WC and additional WC and a small rear room.
The main areas (not rear room) have gas central heating - clear wall for projector use and the building is double glazed.
The extensive grass areas have outdoor lighting and an outdoor power socket.
The area includes great local walks - ideal for DofE expeditions, Scout Expeditions and Group camps (70 outside plus leaders have been hosted for Chilly Challenge). Froggett edge for local walks or climbing at Stanedge edge and Kinder Scout via Edale.

The building is in use Monday to Friday and available for hire after 1830.
Friday evenings, Weekend and school holidays are available.
Tues & Thursday evenings (term time) is permanently booked to the Scout group.
Evening hire (mid week after 1830) is £30
Site hire (per calendar day) is £50, in addition if staying overnight: Camper fee is £5 per camper (Youth & Adults)
